We are on the lookout for a Researcher specializing in Artificial Specialized Intelligence, situated in Vancouver, British Columbia. Required Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
OR equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Doctorate in a relevant field AND at least 2 years of pertinent research experience.OR equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in publishing academic papers as a primary author or significant contributor.
Participation in leading conferences within the relevant research domain.
A solid foundation in systems and architecture, including familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networking technologies.
In-depth knowledge of the latest advancements in large model training/inference technologies, such as instruction fine-tuning, Reinforcement Learning (RL), and Reinforcement Learning with Hindsight Experience Replay (RLHF), as well as low-precision training/inference techniques.
A demonstrated history of published research in AI or system innovation is advantageous.
A strong interest in general AI research, particularly in large foundation models and artificial specialized intelligence.
The typical base salary range for this role across Canada is CAD $79,600 - CAD $153,000 per year for Research Sciences IC3, and CAD $104,000 - CAD $193,200 per year for Research Sciences IC4.
