Department: Pane Fresco Pizza & Bread

Overview

To ensure the effective operation of the Pane Fresco Pizza & Bread Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing sales and gross profit, meeting sales goals and budgets, and providing customers with high-quality foods and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and timely manner to maintain a positive reputation for the company.
  • Oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all pizza and bread products to maintain and increase sales.
  • Plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in pizza and bread products and prioritize and organize all production and department functions.
  • Control inventory through pricing and signage of pizza and bread products to achieve company goals and budget.
  • Schedule, direct, supervise, and discipline department staff and train new employees.
  • Be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with company food safety standards, regulations, and audits.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the hot foods industry, with a minimum of 3 years' management experience in a restaurant or fast food operation.
  • Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is an asset.
  • Food Handlers Certification is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
