  • Software Development: Write, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Research and Design: Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
  • Problem Solving: Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers to conceptualize and develop new software programs and applications.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Design, run, and monitor software performance tests to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and debug software.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines, and train end-users to operate new or modified programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Experienced with various development technologies, including interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and usability issues.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
