Job Title: Bridge Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team at Arcadis. As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for bridge projects, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop bridge projects, including preliminary and detailed designs, structural analysis, and calculations
  • Prepare reports and contract documents, including technical specifications and drawings
  • Coordinate and review drawing production, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Communicate effectively with other disciplines to ensure project collaboration and success
  • Conduct site inspections and construction liaison, ensuring quality control and assurance
  • Mentor and coach junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
  • Assist with preparing Business Development proposals, helping to secure new projects and clients
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (or other Provincial Association)
  • Minimum Seven (7) years of design experience for new bridges and bridge rehabilitations, including highway and rail bridges
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software and CAD software
  • Experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code and provincial/territorial standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and proposals
  • Initiative and ability to work independently, with a collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to present ideas and design rational, with a strong analytical thinker and problem solver
