Role Overview

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in load balancing, cloud networks, switching and routing, and wireless technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement load balancing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
  2. Develop and maintain cloud networks using Cisco ASR Routers, Cisco SDWAN, and Nexus to support scalable and secure network operations.
  3. Provide expert-level support for switching and routing configurations to ensure efficient data flow and network performance.
  4. Implement and lead wireless network solutions to provide robust and secure wireless connectivity across the organization.
  5. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient network health.
  6. Configure and troubleshoot PaloAlto firewalls.
  7. Configure and manage Bluecat DNS.
  8. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
  9. Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement required changes.
  10. Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  11. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and performance.
  12. Deliver training and support to junior network engineers and other IT staff on network-related topics.
Requirements
  1. Must have 7-10 years of experience in load balancing, cloud networks, switching and routing, and wireless technologies.
  2. Possess a solid grasp of load balancing techniques and technologies.
  3. Demonstrate expertise in cloud networks, particularly with Cisco Meraki.
  4. Have extensive experience in switching and routing with a focus on Cisco technologies.
  5. Show proficiency in implementing and handling wireless networks.
  6. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot sophisticated network issues.
Working Arrangements

Cognizant offers a flexible work environment and fosters work-life balance through wellness programs. This role requires 5 in-office days per week at client offices in Brampton, Ontario.
