Job Summary:

Catholic Independent Schools Kamloops Diocese is seeking a part-time Certified Education Assistant to join our team at St. James School in Vernon. As a member of our educational support team, you will provide individual student support and program assistance under the direction of the classroom teacher and learning resource coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual student support and program assistance to students in Kindergarten to Grade Seven
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and learning resource coordinator to develop and implement educational programs
  • Assist with classroom management and organization
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Certified Education Assistant program
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
