About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Mining Engineer to join our team at Rio Tinto. As a Graduate Mining Engineer, you will play a key role in advising and planning on appropriate support systems, processes, and equipment for safe and environmentally sound extraction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve mining operations and reduce environmental impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new technologies and processes
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Less than two years of relevant work experience
- Right to work in Canada
- Valid driver's license
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
