Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Tire Technician to be part of our Mobile Maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of our mining equipment through effective tire management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough inspections, measurements, and replacements of tires and rims on all mobile machinery.
  • Performing regular assessments of tire conditions and wheel components.
  • Operating light vehicles to evaluate reported tire issues on production and auxiliary equipment.
  • Utilizing tire manipulators for the efficient exchange of wheel/tire assemblies.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all tire-related work, including repairs and inventory management.
  • Monitoring tire pressures to ensure compliance with specified limits, enhancing equipment efficiency and tire longevity.
  • Upholding high standards of housekeeping and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment, taking responsibility for tools and equipment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an OTR Tire Technician.
  • Experience with open pit mining equipment, particularly with ultra-class tires.
  • Proficiency in operating tire manipulators.
  • A strong background in a fast-paced production setting.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with tire monitoring systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in remote work environments is advantageous.
