Job Overview

PyroGenesis Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder / Assembly Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Fabrication & Infrastructure Manager, this role involves the manufacture and assembly of systems/equipment, with a focus on welded plumbing.

Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Weld parts from drawings and specifications
  • Perform manual welding (TIG) or semi-automatic welding (MIG) on carbon and stainless steel using various welding equipment
  • Perform other assembly and fabrication tasks as required
  • Plan work from drawings or specifications and select fluxes and base metals
  • Select and set up the welding equipment
Requirements
  • Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in Welding or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Gas Tungsten Arc (TIG) and Gas Metal Arc (MIG) welding
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Experience welding stainless steel
  • Qualification in plumbing welding, butt welding, socket welding: an asset
  • Organized & detail oriented
  • Able to lift heavy loads
  • Hand – eye -coordination
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of English (written and spoken) is an asset
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Duration
  • This position is offered for three months but could lead to permanent employment.
