Lantic Inc. is seeking a skilled Red Seal Machinist to join our Maintenance Team at our Vancouver sugar refinery.

About the Role

  • As a Journeyman Machinist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
  • You will participate in the mechanical preventive maintenance program, conducting planned preventive maintenance and keeping maintenance records.
  • You will disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs, and repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
  • You will comply with all Food Safe Manufacturing Practices and Safety requirements.
  • You will repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.

Requirements

  • BCTQ Machinist Red Seal certification or equivalent Canadian journeyperson certification with Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Manual machining experience.
  • Experience and familiarity with safe working practices in regards operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Commitment to work in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics in regards pumps, reducers, and packaging equipment.
