Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Auditor plays a pivotal role at MCI, tasked with upholding our stringent quality standards for coaches manufactured in our facility and ensuring the precision of all units delivered to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of coach builds to verify compliance with MCI specifications and quality standards.
- Evaluate exterior paint quality against established benchmarks.
- Complete necessary checklists and authorize all inspections and releases in accordance with standards.
- Assist the cell team in addressing quality-related concerns.
- Facilitate the identification and management of non-conforming goods, documenting defects and performing re-inspections as needed.
- Proactively document and analyze recurring issues to minimize rework.
- Review work instructions as necessary.
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts as required.
- Verify production tests as necessary.
- Provide assistance to senior inspectors as needed.
Qualifications for Success:
- Experience in a dynamic production environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and MCI standards.
- Familiarity with Polyworks, AutoCAD, 3D models, or similar tools is advantageous.
- A background in Supplier Quality is beneficial.
- Experience with GD&T and CMM is a plus.
- Knowledge of assembly processes is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive under multiple demands in a high-volume setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
