Position Overview

The Pharmacy Operations Associate supports the Pharmacist in the essential functions of prescription processing and administrative tasks to enhance the Pharmacist's capacity to deliver patient care. This role is integral to the Pharmacy team, ensuring high-quality customer service is consistently provided.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receiving and reviewing prescriptions from customers, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and verifying the completeness of the prescription details such as patient information and prescriber data.
  2. Executing computer-related tasks as instructed by the Pharmacist, including data entry, patient information updates, and accurate interpretation of written prescriptions.
  3. Assisting in the preparation of prescriptions under the Pharmacist's supervision, which includes selecting the correct products, conducting accuracy checks, and preparing items for final verification.
  4. Managing inventory effectively, aiding the Pharmacist in maintaining optimal stock levels, identifying expired medications, and ensuring proper organization of pharmacy supplies.
  5. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all areas of the pharmacy are tidy and that equipment is well-kept.
  6. Performing clerical duties such as filing prescriptions and invoices, and supporting administrative tasks as needed.
  7. Supporting over-the-counter operations, including stocking and cashier responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older.
