Job Title: Education Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Advisor to join our team in the Public Legal Education & Information Unit. As an Education Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and delivering educational materials for the Business and Resolution Services branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality legal education content, including publications, posters, brochures, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and educational courses.
  • Deliver engaging and informative presentations to various stakeholders, primarily for adult audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve and implement current initiatives and training and learning opportunities for Albertans.
  • Analyze and report on survey data from service providers to inform continuous program improvement and funding proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and issues impacting service delivery, including changes in legislation, court processes, precedent, protocol, or procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to advise and present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organization, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
  • University graduation in a related field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Social Work) plus 2 years of progressively responsible related experience in advising, developing, and delivering educational materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience in developing and coordinating educational or research materials.
  • Work experience with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Work experience in survey design, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Leadership work experience.
  • Working knowledge of the judicial environment and related legislation.
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in French.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 36.25-hour workweek, Monday to Friday. Minimal travel may be required. Final candidates will undergo a security screening.
