Position: Engineer in Building Mechanics

Strana Talent Inc. is seeking a qualified Engineer in Building Mechanics to enhance our client’s consulting engineering team within the building industry.

Role Overview:

The Engineer in Building Mechanics will collaborate closely with the project team to assess client requirements and deliver customized solutions for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analyses and provide expertise on mechanical building projects.
  • Create detailed plans and specifications for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and control systems.
  • Engage in project discussions, gather necessary information, and recommend solutions.
  • Align project spaces and requirements with clients and architectural teams.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments such as Structural, Civil, and Electrical Engineering.
  • Oversee and guide the work of drafters and technicians.
  • Conduct site inspections and manage project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Dynamic personality with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.
  • Active member of the Quebec Order of Engineers.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written forms.
  • Experience in project management, including budget oversight (preferred).
  • Background in leading teams of technicians and drafters (preferred).
  • Familiarity with simulation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expertise in Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • ASP Card holder.
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative.
  • Interest in collaborative teamwork.
