Position Overview : As a Cleaner within the BGIS SCS Team, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness in a designated area, prioritizing quality control, health and safety, and striving to surpass client expectations.
Key Duties: As an integral member of the operational team, reporting to the Manager/Supervisor, the Cleaner will:
Perform floor cleaning through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming. Sweep the exterior perimeter of the facility. Empty waste containers. Transport waste from designated drop-off points to disposal bins or compactors. Clean and properly store equipment and machinery utilized. Replenish cleaning supplies as necessary. Adhere to procedures for the proper dilution of cleaning agents. Conduct low and high dusting, surface wiping, glass cleaning, and restroom sanitation as required. Inform supervisors of the need for significant repairs. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management based on facility requirements (such as cleaning appliances or operating dishwashers).Qualifications:
Proven experience in executing various cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks in a structured environment. Familiarity with operating floor maintenance machinery, cleaning tools, materials, and solutions. Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant provisions applicable to this role, including WHMIS. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperative relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as assigned, including the flexibility to work across multiple locations. Capacity to follow both verbal and written instructions, and to maintain both manual and electronic records.Physical Requirements:
