Job Opportunity: Process Safety Engineering Student

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our Process Safety Engineering team as a student work term opportunity. As a Process Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in risk reviews and support engineering assessments for new and existing risks
  • Review and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure operating assets are being run and maintained
  • Provide process safety and integrity support to ongoing operations, maintenance, and new projects
  • Participate in and perform failure analysis of failed components
  • Provide recommendations for repair and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Physically and mentally fit for work
  • Responsible attitude towards safety, demonstrate leadership, and enjoy problem-solving
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out-of-province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test required
