About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forms Specialist to join our team at Khalsa Forming Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry and concrete forms construction.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for work assignments.
Working Conditions
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Overtime required, with tight deadlines and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Use of personal tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.
