About the Role

YK Freightways Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including trial balance and balance sheet.
  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, organized, reliable, team player, time management, and adaptability.
