Position Overview

About the Role

We are currently in search of a Retail Merchandising Specialist to operate independently at designated retail locations for approximately 5 hours each week.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a robust work ethic, capable of working autonomously while maintaining a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at cultivating strong business relationships. Previous experience in merchandising within a retail setting is advantageous. Access to a smartphone and the internet is essential. If you have a passion for gardening, this role could be particularly rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute merchandising tasks at assigned retail locations.
  • Manage product sections, ensuring proper rotation, restocking, and distribution of merchandise.
  • Address and resolve any stock shortages.
  • Facilitate the setup of additional displays to enhance product visibility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards in your sections.
  • Replace or repair fixtures as necessary and arrange promotional materials.
  • Coordinate product orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Promote special offers, displays, and new product launches.
  • Implement planogram changes and provide recommendations to optimize sales.
  • Build and nurture relationships with store personnel and management.
  • Submit daily reports on visits and activities.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will reside within a 10 KM radius of the retail locations. You should be able to lift up to 25 lbs. While prior merchandising experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. A smartphone and internet access are required.
