About the Role:

Bureau Veritas is seeking a dedicated

ANALYST 1

This is a Full-Time role that includes Medical Benefits and a Retirement Savings Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare water and soil samples for laboratory examination, which includes sample extraction, preparation of standards and reagents, maintenance of instruments, calibration, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Review Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) summary reports to effectively plan and organize daily tasks while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct sample preparation and execute procedures prior to analyses.
  • Label and store samples, extracts, and standard solutions appropriately to ensure proper handling.
  • Perform basic testing procedures, identify non-routine samples, and seek guidance for handling as necessary.
  • Meet quality and turnaround time specifications required by clients, ensuring samples are analyzed within holding time limits.
  • Follow laboratory protocols diligently to meet turnaround times.
  • Work in a standard laboratory environment with availability for shift work, overtime, and weekend duties as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A technical diploma is required; a Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
