Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team at the Nisku Distribution Center. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will oversee the production workflow and scheduling, ensuring timely shipment of products while maintaining strict quality standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, inquisitive, and adept at problem-solving within a process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage weekly production documentation for receiving, staging, production, and shipping.
- Ensure the execution of production plans and effectively communicate and track any arising issues.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by minimizing errors in ingredient quality, pick accuracy, and shipping times.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to devise and implement cost-effective production techniques.
- Monitor production schedules, start and end times, and daily operational activities.
- Uphold high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain a clean and safe production environment.
- Work within budgetary constraints as set by the Production Manager.
- Utilize designated technology to ensure the quality and accuracy of shipped products while providing efficient customer service.
- Analyze customer error reports related to production to assess quality, accuracy, and identify trends for improvement.
- Conduct daily checks for 5S, process readiness, and facility maintenance.
- Coordinate with operational teams, suppliers, and contractors to implement corrective and preventive action plans.
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment as required and report any workplace hazards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in production management within a fulfillment or distribution environment, preferably in the Food & Beverage sector.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in MS Excel and G-Suite applications is essential.
- Proven leadership abilities to guide production teams effectively.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on finding efficient solutions to common challenges.
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in work responsibilities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive and ambitious, with a tendency to think beyond immediate assignments.
