Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and physically capable Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at Uline. As a Day Shift Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, dust racks, and perform yard and building maintenance duties.
  • Trash Removal and Recycling: Process trash removal and corrugated scraps with a compactor.
  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
  • Cleaning Equipment Operation: Operate floor scrubbers (electric or propane) and other cleaning equipment.
  • Workspace Setup and Cleaning: Set up and clean employee workspaces.
  • General Labour/Cleaning: Perform general labour/cleaning tasks to support operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Previous Experience: Previous janitorial/cleaning experience required.
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
