The Surgical Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will be responsible for providing patient care to surgical patients as a scrub nurse. This role involves working as a member of the surgical team and actively participating in the perioperative care of patients. The RPN will need to adhere to the standards of practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and Halton Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to surgical patients as a scrub nurse
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure seamless perioperative care
  • Adhere to established standards of practice and policies
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS Certification
  • OR certification
  • Minimum of two years experience as a perioperative scrub nurse
  • Strong technical operating room skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Good team player

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent patient-centered care skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to continued learning.

Work Schedule: Monday to Sunday; rotating shifts

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
