About the RoleCIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the energy sector. As a Senior Hydrologist, you will be responsible for working on hydrology and hydraulic structures, and river and coastal development projects.
Key Responsibilities- Hydrological Studies: Conduct studies related to river hydraulics, including hydrological studies, determination of design flows, hydrogeomorphology, sediment transport studies, floodplain mapping, etc.
- Hydraulic Modeling: Model and simulate the hydraulics of watercourses and hydraulic installations using specialized software (1D, 2D and 3D).
- Design and Development: Design hydraulic installations such as spillways, retention basins, canals, bridges, culverts, penstocks, etc.
- Dam Safety Studies: Carry out dam safety studies.
- Climate Change Impact Assessment: Assess the impact of climate change on various infrastructures.
- Field Surveys: Plan and carry out field surveys.
- Project Coordination: Participate in multidisciplinary coordination.
- Client Management: Take charge of clients, projects or batches.
- Technical Reporting: Write and check technical reports and contribute to the development of plans and specifications.
- Service Agreements: Participate in the preparation of service agreements.
- Education: University Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Specialization: Master's Degree in hydrology or hydraulics with academic training in modeling (an asset).
- Experience: More than ten (10) years of experience in the field of river and/or coastal hydraulics.
- Professional Certifications: Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Language Skills: Fluency in spoken and written French and English in a professional context.
