Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurosurgery team at Vancouver General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our Neurosurgery program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of patients, including the development of treatment plans and the prescription of medications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
- 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
- Experience working with Aboriginal and marginalized populations.
- Ability to apply knowledge of developmental stages, behavioral sciences, pathophysiology, psychopathology, epidemiology, and evidence-based practice to clinical diagnosis and patient management.
