Job Overview:
The Team: Our Workload team is a united group focused on scrutinizing entities for high-risk audits. We value our collaborative environment, where every opinion is acknowledged, and assistance is readily available. You will have the opportunity to work closely with fellow auditors and senior auditors, ensuring our audit leads are comprehensive and impactful.
The Role: In this capacity, you will be tasked with independently evaluating taxpayers to pinpoint high-risk cases for audit, ensuring that our resources are utilized efficiently and effectively. Your analytical skills and decisions are vital, guaranteeing the integrity of our audit leads. This position allows for collaboration with various teams within the branch and participation in innovative initiatives such as developing projects on new industries with potential non-compliance risks.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting designation CPA - CA, CGA, CMA, issued by a Canadian Accounting Association.
- A minimum of 3 years audit and/or accounting experience.
- A minimum of 2 years audit experience in a consumption taxes environment.
About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may allow for remote work subject to an approved telework agreement. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
