About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Octo Mechanical Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on supply chain performance and trends
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working order
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste
  • Consult with production supervisors to schedule production runs in a cost- and time-efficient manner
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports and other documentation as required
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices is essential
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure optimal productivity
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Willingness to relocate for this position
  • Experience in a manufacturing, retail business, wholesaler, or distribution center environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows, and MS Office
