About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Ideal Air Inc. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, preparing pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, and reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Management
    • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
    • Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
    • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Project Coordination
    • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
    • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
    • Project cash flow and financing requirements
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
    • Utilize quantity take-off procedures
    • Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
    • Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
