We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Global Supplier Management Program. As a key member of our Global Procurement Services team, you will be responsible for implementing and governing Scotiabank's supplier management standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Global Supplier Management Program: Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective supplier management globally, aligning with Scotiabank's policies and procedures.
  • Governance and Oversight: Own and govern the bank's global supplier management standards and practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Thought Leadership: Mature the program through stakeholder feedback, industry best practices, and evolving regulatory expectations.
  • Program Effectiveness: Oversee the effectiveness of the program, ensuring adherence to established metrics and confirming compliance to the mandate.
  • Supplier Insights: Lead a forum to share key insights on critical and important suppliers and contracts.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central point of contact for other Enterprise Programs that impact the mandate.
  • Standardization: Drive standardization across processes, tools, and templates needed to establish supplier management and supplier governance across the Bank.
  • Team Leadership: Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative work environment that attracts, motivates, and develops team members.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree and postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent combination of education and supplier management experience.
  • Expertise: Expert knowledge of supplier lifecycle management, procurement process, and sub-processes.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead multiple priorities, adapt to a constantly changing business environment, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across a broad spectrum.
  • Problem-Solving: Solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
