Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Yellowknife Restaurant Limited Partnership. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tables and orders simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Balance cash and record sales accurately.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train.
  • Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables and orders simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.

Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be working in a team environment, collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in our restaurant. You will be required to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management in English.Work Schedule

Our restaurant operates 7 days a week, with varying shifts and hours. You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
