About the Role

Thomac General Contractors Inc. is seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to join our team. As a Cement Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Leveling and Finishing: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, and impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Surface Treatment: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. You will be required to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
