Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Store Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Leader to join our team at Lids Inc. As an Assistant Store Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, documented appraisal of an associate's sales performance
  • Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Company Dress Code Policy
  • Control expenses and protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies
  • Assist in preparation of store work schedules and follow all policies to accurately manage store inventory
  • Perform proper documentation and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies as well as state and federal laws
  • Open and close the store as required following the procedures per the Operations P&P Manual
  • Manage store associates through thorough use of LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow-up
  • Administer the progressive steps of discipline, including verbal and written warnings
  • Responsible for scheduling and staffing the store, including calling in associates to work in unexpected peaks
  • Participate in LIDS Training Programs and adhere to set goals and regular follow-up
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures
  • Encourage store associates' direct compliance with established company policies, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss
  • Ability to operate a computer and maneuver relative software programs
  • Assistant store managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience
  • FT Assistant Store Managers are eligible for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount
