About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at GP Renovation Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced tradespeople with various tasks related to construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Help prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Assisting Tradespeople: Assist experienced tradespeople with tasks such as mixing and pouring concrete, erecting forms, and dismantling scaffolding.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Site Cleanup: Assist in cleaning and disposing of waste materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work site.
  • Machine Operation: Assist in operating construction equipment and machinery, such as cranes, forklifts, and generators.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a construction or related field is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude are essential for this role.
