Position Overview: The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various research initiatives within the organization. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of psychology and neuroscience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of databases and preparation of data for presentations and scholarly articles.
  • Assistance with regulatory submissions to Health Canada, progress reporting, and other administrative tasks.
  • Data entry and analysis, focusing on behavioral, neuropsychological, and imaging datasets.
  • Coordination of interviews with human subjects, including screening and recruitment of eligible participants, as well as maintaining comprehensive subject records.
  • Preparation and scheduling for MRI or PET imaging sessions.
  • Support in the administration of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field, along with relevant experience as a research assistant or analyst.
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals facing mood or memory challenges in clinical or research environments.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional writing and organizational skills.
  • Quick adaptability to new tasks and concepts.
  • Prior experience in organizing and managing research databases.
  • Proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, and various database software applications.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS) and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with neuroimaging data collection and analysis techniques.
