Bridgeway Family Homes is seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Care Practitioner to support families, children, youth, and young adults experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges through a goal-focused service in one of our Treatment Foster Homes.
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Independent Contractor to provide services between 20-40 hours per week based on client needs, including providing services during the week between 3:00pm-9:00pm, some weekend sessions, and occasionally daytime sessions during weekdays.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with collaborative team members
- Provide scheduled, goal-focused services to families and individuals
- Develop goal-focused activities
- Conduct case notes, reports, and other administrative tasks
- Transport children/youth while providing services
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care Practitioner from a recognized college or university
- 2-5 years of experience providing services to children/youth and/or families with critical needs
- Current Verbal De-escalation Certification with experience in crisis prevention
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current Child Welfare Record Check
- Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License
- Access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
