Position Overview

As a Licensed Optical Specialist at Tri Vision Optical, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional optical care to our clients. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive the best possible solutions for their vision needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' eyeglasses or contact lenses by utilizing advanced optical measuring tools to assess eye curvature, pupillary distance, and bridge width.
  • Prescription Fulfillment: Accurately interpret and implement specifications for eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions provided by ophthalmologists or optometrists.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and guide the activities of junior opticians or trainees, ensuring high standards of practice and customer service.
  • Contact Lens Guidance: Provide expert advice on the proper use and maintenance of contact lenses to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Lens Preparation: Coordinate the grinding or polishing of lenses, or perform these tasks personally to meet client specifications.
  • Eyewear Adjustment: Make necessary adjustments to finished eyeglasses to ensure a perfect fit for each client.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a small team of 1 to 2 individuals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid license issued by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in the optical field.
