Job Title: CFO - Chief Financial Officer

As a seasoned finance leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our organization's financial operations, including financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will oversee the implementation and integration of information systems and technology, ensuring processes are optimized to support efficient financial reporting and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of information systems and technology to optimize financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and improve data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure all accounting functions are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead finance and IT teams in delivering key projects, including process improvements and systems enhancements.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, including auditors, financial institutions, and tax advisors.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, implementing best practices in finance, technology, and planning to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights to executive leadership, supporting strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performance finance and IT team, setting goals, motivating, and developing talent to achieve company objectives.
Requirements:
  • University degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting designation, preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  • 15+ years of progressively senior financial experience within mid-sized organizations, preferably in the retail or soft goods industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial and ERP systems, including Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Power BI, Sage 300, and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized and timely fashion, with a proven track record of delivering on financial and technology projects.
  • Demonstrated team-building skills, including experience in goal setting, motivating, leading, and developing a high-performance team in both finance and technology.
