We are a professional consulting engineering firm that provides project planning, engineering design, and project management services to the Oil and Gas industry. Our expertise lies in conventional Oil and Gas projects, heavy oil (SAGD, CSS) processing, and enhanced oil recovery projects.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Instrumentation Lead will manage the Instrumentation group of a project or program, providing guidance and coaching to the team. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of Instrumentation Engineers/Specialists and designers for a Sustainable program or multiple projects at a time
- Liaising with I&C vendors and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Steering review sessions for I&C deliverables with different project stakeholders, including client project teams
- Coordinating with Project Management teams to ensure I&C activities align with the agreed project schedule
- Reviewing and checking I&C deliverables, including datasheets, sizing calculations, MR packages, and Control drawings/deliverables
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to intermediate/junior engineers in their day-to-day activities
- Representing the I&C team to the client and ensuring client expectations are met
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least ten (10) years of accomplished experience in I&C Engineering, with the majority being in the Oil and Gas industry
- Proven lead experience at project or program level, with experience in Oil and Gas industry projects of various sizes preferred
- Degree/Technology certification or equivalent
- Professional membership with APEGA or equivalent required
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Excellent diplomatic and communication skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and CAD support
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
