Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems, and performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues with facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, and perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure facility uptime objectives are met.
- Client Relations: Provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients, and maintain positive relations through the manner in which work is performed and services delivered.
- Administration: Participate in and assist with facility-related projects, and ensure compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and any other applicable requirements.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing, and a minimum of 3 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
- Skills and Qualifications: Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance, demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment, and strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
