Your Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing, processing, coordinating, and transcribing physician orders;
- Serving as the communication hub for the unit;
- Scheduling, booking, and coordinating patient appointments;
- Assembling and maintaining patient records, entering data, and transcribing information into relevant systems;
- Performing various administrative tasks including typing, data entry, filing, compiling statistics, generating reports, and managing unit supply levels;
- Maintaining timekeeping records for staff and managing payroll submissions;
- Monitoring patient call signals and relaying messages to the appropriate personnel.
Application Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12;
- A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater completed within the last 48 months;
- A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate;
- Your Resume;
- A Cover Letter outlining your availability to commence a new position.
Casual employment entails: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during temporary absences; and providing relief coverage. Once engaged in a casual role, you are eligible to apply for internal postings, including part-time or full-time positions.
