Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually. They will also be required to check and weigh materials and products, sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products, and perform other labouring and elemental activities.

Work Environment

The General Labourer will work in a fast-paced furniture manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. They will be required to work in a team environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
  • Check and weigh materials and products
  • Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products
  • Perform other labouring and elemental activities
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience

Working Conditions

The General Labourer will work in a physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be required to work in a team environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Language and Work Term

The successful candidate will be required to work in English and have a permanent work term.
