About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings team in Ottawa or Timmins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop building systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing, in accordance with current codes and standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate with designers to optimize general arrangements, equipment selection, piping, and ductwork layouts.
  • Assist with workload management to ensure project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Identify and respond to client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and estimate development for engineering services.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals and utilize software tools to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct site reviews during construction and report on observations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
