Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide professionalism in customer service, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs, ensuring the vehicle is safe to operate.
  • Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Cargo Handling: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Bill of lading
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Flatbed truck operation
