Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Internal Controller to join our team in Canada. As a leader in the field of internal control, you will play a critical role in mitigating risk and ensuring the integrity of our business processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a newly established role and take on unique responsibilities, allowing you to make a significant impact while engaging with top-level executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess risk and develop controls that can be embedded into our main processes, including Accounting, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and IT & ERP.
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the annual Internal Control Self-Assessment process within Canada.
  • Review and analyze results of the Control Self-Assessment as well as Internal Audit results and other control testing activities to identify trends and opportunities for improvement across Canada.
  • Draw conclusions and report on results with a focus on risk exposure and continuous improvement.
  • Consult with various businesses in Canada to provide training, resource guides, and summarizing global policies to help achieve compliance.
  • Summarize and present action plan completion progress to all levels of management.
  • Create and provide any and all necessary Internal Control related training across Canada.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business-related field.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in internal and/or external audit, including experience with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and related controls design, implementation, and testing, including, but not limited to, IT general controls and IT application controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Fast learner, objective, straightforward, eager, enthusiastic, and motivated.
