Position: Senior QA Tester, QA Builds

Department: Circle K Tech

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours) in office

THE ROLE

Circle K Tech is committed to delivering superior products that fulfill our customers' rigorous standards. We are in search of a dedicated and seasoned Senior QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the excellence of our embedded systems. Reporting to the Director, the Senior QA Tester, QA Builds will be responsible for developing and executing thorough test plans for embedded systems to guarantee product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and implement detailed test plans and test cases for embedded systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to comprehend product requirements and devise effective testing strategies.
  • Automate testing processes utilizing scripting languages and testing frameworks.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing on embedded systems, including functional, regression, and performance assessments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, providing comprehensive reports and collaborating with the development team for resolutions.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of production issues and replicating them in a controlled environment.
  • Proactively monitor production devices for potential product concerns.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in QA and embedded systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in QA, particularly with embedded systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Robot Framework).
  • Proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Proficient in using Jira for issue and bug tracking.
  • Familiarity with Xray and other test tracking systems.
  • Experience with Wireshark for network issue diagnostics.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Capacity to resolve issues with minimal guidance.
