About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Counselling Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Health Group. As a Counselling Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse adult population, providing counselling services to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide goal-focused, therapeutic counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and goals, progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Registered with the College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick
- Minimum Master's Degree in a counselling-related field such as Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress, and discharge reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
