Job Summary

The Coordinated Access and Assessment Manager is a key role within BC Housing, responsible for implementing and overseeing the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative. This position provides collaborative leadership to multiple community partners and stakeholders in housing individuals who are homeless or experiencing chronic homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and advice as a resource for all partners involved in providing services and housing to a vulnerable population.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify training needs and provide oversight to regional and stakeholder resources supporting program operation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address homelessness and housing needs in the region.
  • Build relationships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups to advance the goals of the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to staff in a team setting.
  • Stay up-to-date with current social issues, including homelessness, mental illness, and drug addiction, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Community Planning, or other relevant discipline.
  • Considerable experience in building relationships and providing leadership to partners and stakeholders in housing the homeless or other diverse populations.
  • Sound knowledge of BC Housing's programs and services relating to homelessness.
  • Effective negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with housing providers, service providers, sector organizations, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Ability to travel and work periodic evenings.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
