Job Summary:

The Tea Room Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our tea room, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and analyzing budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff schedules and inventory management
  • Recruit and train staff to ensure high standards of customer service
  • Supervise staff and ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals and teams to achieve business objectives
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage events and ensure that all aspects of the event are executed smoothly
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Computer and technology knowledge, including MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Windows
