Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating environmental and health program processes and activities to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, including processes, procedures, and resources.
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for environmental and health inquiries and incidents.
  • Provide guidance to team members on environmental and health matters and escalate inquiries as necessary.
  • Coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities, including attending tenant OSH committee meetings, conducting incident investigations, and developing emergency response procedures.
  • Research and provide findings and recommendations on environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Maintain and assist with the creation of environmental, health, and safety documentation, including plans, processes, forms, logbooks, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong background in environmental management system development and administration.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Certificate in Environmental Management, or University degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Environmental Studies.
  • 1-3 years of environmental, health, and safety work experience.
  • Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple requirements simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain and report accurate data.
