About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at 601935 Saskatchewan Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.
  • Gluing and Assembly: Operate gluing machines to glue pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, and replace parts as required.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure high-quality products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Computerized woodworking machine, drills, gluing machines, planers, routers, sanders, and saws.
